about

A distillate of alternate realities from acoustic and analog origin materials. Essentially, musique concrète.

credits

released July 27, 2017

Sourced from live recordings between July 2016 and July 2017, captured with a Tascam DR-07 MKII. Inspired by recent exposures to Éliane Radigue, R. Stevie Moore, and Laurie Spiegel and the possibilities that they revealed to me.

Curated, prepared, and produced by Terry Skaggs

Materials used:

"Zeit #5 (for Steven Wilson)" is prepared from a Minimoog performance captured in a live space. Owes much to Tangerine Dream and Bass Communion (obviously).

"Set Off On The Roads" is a loop sourced from an acoustic guitar performance by Ben McDonough recorded on Ofu Island, American Samoa, in 2017, and a waterfall at Kauapea Beach near Kilauea, Kauai, Hawai'i, recorded in July 2016.

"The Night That Lasted All Day" is sourced from nocturnal recordings of toy bells, my voice, and the purring of my cat.
